Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello, born April 18th 1967 was an American actress, producer and writer. Her film credits include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016). Bello appeared on television as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997-1998) and also in other prominent roles like Michelle McBride (2016 season) as well as Jacqueline Sloane (2017-2021) on NCIS. Bello was born April 18 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher as well as Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a poor, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. She studied political sciences at Villanova University. Bello studied acting in New York and continued to enhance her acting skills after graduation. Bello as well as Dan McDermott have a son, Jackson. In November 2013 she wrote about her having a same-sex relationship with her ex-partner Clare Munn. She released a book entitled Whatever...Love Is a Love: The Truth Behind the Labels We Put on Ourself. (Dey Street Books. April 28, 2015).
